My mother has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a month ago! She is going to be one of 21 people involved in a relatively new clinical trial drug called TH-302 which will be administered to her at The Mayo Clinic In Scottsdale, AZ! It’s been tested in patients prior to this particular group, but our doctor wouldn’t give us percentages or survival rates and didn’t sound very optimistic about the treatment! Please contact me on my page if you have any knowledge of this drug!

My dad was diagnosed Sept 10, 2008 and passed away Dec 27, 2008. We were completely blind-sided by this horrible disease. My dad was the healthiest person I know. I pray for all of you who have lost to this, and that SOMEDAY there may be a cure.

the most common symptom is this…so listen….i’m not hungry…too much food..when pc spreads your liver can’t process food….it makes you sick or all the fluids accumulate in your abdomen..that is what a NG tube is for..pc KILLS..make your plans that is being honest….

I agree with you. ALLOT more needs to be done to treat it.
Does anyone live in the UK here and think they spend way to much time and money into ****** cancer? I can grantee that ****** cancer will be mentioned every other day in the papers and almost every day on the news.
I think that even the NHS forgets that people can get cancer of every organ in the body so why do they keep beating round the bush with ****** cancer all the time and getting nowhere.

thank you, I am starting to find peace with that. I believe in God, and I also believe my dad is around, looking after me and my family. In his final days, I used to see my dad sitting at his bed leaning forward on a chair. and I think of how many chances I had to go and sit next to him and rub his back while talking to him, I never did it. I know he forgave me. He was great, I mis him alot.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, May he Rest In Peace.
We all take life for granted some times, when we never know whats in store for us in the future. I know i do myself, i think i should do more with my spare time, and not just waste it doing nothing, because lifes too short. We’re already blessed to be here in the frist place. I’ve learned that it’s not worth worring over silly little things? like ”bills” stuff like,
Im saying lifes way to sort, we need to love more, .

You can’t be pretty sure you have something you know nothing about, are you looking for sympathy. There’s people out there that have this for real and may not have long to live, there you are thinking? ”I’ve got it” Get a grip! you can’t just ‘think’ you’ve got something? it could be loads of other things. Count yourself lucky because you may have something minor wrong with you, not like so many other’s who have not been so lucky. It’s people like you that ”piss me off”

i agree with u but u kno when there is a abnormal pain for such a period of time n becomes intolerable u wanna check up on it n it can be a # of things until they claim finally its Pan Can b/w a # of docs then how does one proceed. I believe something had to be done wrong or not caught early enough cuz a member of my fam just was diagnose with Pan Can a month ago n within weeks now they the docs say the patient doesn’t have much time left.. it has spread n exhibits multiple organ failures, how?

Why do you think you have this disease? I have had episodes of hypochrondria before too. I am 24, and have scared myself to death confirming all the symptoms I’ve had of horrible diseases on google. Fact us, the same symptoms can be caused by hundreds of benign causes that are 500X more likely at our age than something rare like “pancreatic cancer”. I am sure you are fine. My “abdominal pain” ended up being IBS… Dont worry you will be ok

The associations were strongest for saturated fat from animal food sources…CONCLUSION: In this large prospective cohort with a wide range of intakes, dietary fat of animal origin was associated with increased pancreatic cancer risk.
So instead of just throwing more money at labrat tests, just adopt a biochemically compatible diet and reduce chances of acquiring all the popular diseases of affluence.

Don’t give up. The people who overcome such conditions make positive changes and forge on. It is a difficult challenge, no doubt. But you have power to improve or even cure your condition to varying degrees. Do not give in to genetic fatalism, it is an acquired disease and does not have to dictate your life. Eliminate variables positively associated w/all cancers, diet DOES help.

you gotta embrace death and laugh in the face of it. Don’t dwell on the negative because you will only cause yourself mental sickness as you grow older.

I am deathly scared I have this. I may be a hypochondriac, but I’m going to get a full physical soon. I’m 22, no family history of this disease. I lived the fear of realizing my mortality and it’s crippling. I can only pray to GOD that I don’t have this. My heart and soul are with anyone suffering from any form of cancer.
